Starship Troopers: Ultimate Bug War was announced at the tail end of last year, and now, publisher Dotemu has slapped a release date on the retro-flavoured first person shooter.
Fresh gameplay is shown off in the below trailer alongside the date itself — 16th March, 2026:
It's well documented that Helldivers 2 owes a lot of its identity to Starship Troopers, and that's plain to see in the new video, with very similar humour and plenty of explosive combat against alien bugs.
While the game definitely shares a vibe with Arrowhead's popular co-op shooter, it's quite different, styled like a PS2-era FPS and comprising a single player campaign.
